Course overview

Overview of the 7303 Award (QCF Value: 6 credits)

This is a one unit qualification consisting of 5 mandatory sections

Section Number

Section 1

Understand own role, responsibilities and boundaries of role in relation to teaching.

Section 2

Understand teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area.

Section 3

Demonstrate session planning skills.

Section 4

Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners.

Section 5

Understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping.

To achieve the qualification you must successfully complete both the theory and practical assignments covering all five sections.

Assignments will be assessed at Level 4.

At Level 4, you need to demonstrate in your assignments a depth of knowledge and understanding to that level.

This should be reflected in:

  • The relationship between the candidate’s learning and practice.
  • Evidence of research and reading which is appropriately referenced and attributed (Harvard system).
  • Word-processed assignments.
